Charlie received his Bachelor of Business Administration from the University of Cincinnati, with a major in accounting. He joined Battelle & Battelle LLP upon graduation. He was promoted to Manager in 1983 and was admitted as a Partner in 1990. Currently, Charlie is a member of the firm's Management Committee. He focuses on businesses in the manufacturing and distribution industries and provides services to construction and real estate clients.

Charlie serves on the board of the Children's Medical Center, and previously served on the boards of the Oakwood Schools Education Foundation and the City of Oakwood Budget Review Committee. He is a current member of the Oakwood Rotary Club. Charlie is a graduate of the Leadership Dayton, Class of 1985.
